Matsushima Matsushima

Matsushima, one of Japan’s Three Scenic Views, is renowned for the many islands scattered across Matsushima Bay and its distinctive coastal scenery. Along the waterfront are historic sites such as Godaido and Zuiganji Temple, as well as walking paths, viewpoints, and sightseeing cruises. The bay changes character with the seasons and time of day, making Matsushima one of Miyagi Prefecture’s signature destinations for both scenery and history.
