Rairaikyo Gorge: Deep green gorge and distinctive rock formations

Rairaikyo Gorge Rairaikyo

Rairaikyo is a narrow gorge carved by the Natori River through Akiu Onsen. A walking trail brings visitors close to dramatic rock formations and clear flowing water. Near Nozoki Bridge, a naturally formed heart-shaped hollow adds a small surprise to this easy walk from the hot spring town.
