Terms of Use
This website (the “Site”) is operated by Miyagi Prefecture (the “Prefecture”) to provide tourism information. Please review the following before using the Site.
1. Links to the Site
As a general rule, you may link freely to any publicly available page on the Site, including the home page and individual spot-detail pages. No prior permission or notification is required. You may also share links to the Site in social media posts, Stories, and similar formats.
Please do not display the Site within a frame or otherwise link to it in a way that obscures the fact that the content comes from the Site. The Prefecture may ask you to remove a link if the linking website contains unlawful content or content contrary to public order or accepted standards of decency, or if the link could misleadingly imply a partnership, cooperation, endorsement, or similar relationship with the Prefecture.
URLs and content on the Site may be changed or removed without prior notice.
2. Copyright
Copyright and other rights in the photographs, text, videos, illustrations, designs, and other content published on the Site belong to the Prefecture or the relevant rights holders.
Except where permitted by copyright law or other applicable laws, such as copying for private use or quotation, content may not be reproduced, republished, modified, distributed, or otherwise used without permission from the relevant rights holder. In particular, photographs and images from the Site may not be saved and then reposted or republished on social media or other media, except where permitted by law.
Sharing a link to the Site is not the same as copying or reusing the photographs, text, or other content published on the Site. Photographs and images on the Site may not be reproduced, reposted, or otherwise reused by members of the public.
3. Published Information and Disclaimer
The Prefecture makes reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on the Site is accurate, but information may change after publication. For the latest information on opening hours, fees, closing days, event status, transportation, and other matters, please check the official website of the relevant facility, organizer, or other source.
Photographs on the Site reflect the season, time of day, weather, and other conditions at the time they were taken. The Prefecture does not guarantee that the same scenery or conditions will be available when you visit.
Except where the Prefecture is required by applicable law to assume liability, the Prefecture is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the Site. External websites linked from the Site are managed by their respective operators, and the Prefecture does not guarantee their content or services. Please review the terms and conditions of each external website before using it.
4. Recommended Browsers and System Requirements
We recommend using the latest version of one of the following browsers.
| Recommended environment | |
| Desktop | Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Safari |
| Smartphone | iOS Safari, Google Chrome for Android |
The Site uses JavaScript. JavaScript and browser site-data storage must be enabled to use the Site’s main display and interaction features, including Favorites. Internet Explorer is not supported.
Even when using a recommended environment, display or functionality may vary due to browser or operating-system updates, device settings, network conditions, or other factors.
5. Favorites Feature
The Site’s Favorites feature allows users to save spots they are interested in and view them again later in a list. Favorites data is stored in the browser currently in use and is not stored on the server.
Saved information is deleted when the user removes a spot from Favorites or clears the browser’s site data. As a general rule, Favorites are not transferred when the user changes device, browser, or browser profile.
This feature is different from a social-media “Like” function. It does not post content to social media or make saved information visible to other users. For information on how data is handled, please refer to the separate Privacy Policy.
6. Direct Page Access and Offline Use
Each information page on the Site can be accessed directly by URL. The card list can also be opened via a URL that displays a specific card.
The Site is designed to be used while connected to the internet. Some content may remain viewable offline if it has been cached by the browser, but the Site does not support full offline use and does not guarantee that all pages or features will be available offline.
7. Web Accessibility
The Site is designed and operated with web accessibility in mind so that it can be used by as many people as possible.
8. Handling of Personal Information and Related Data
For information on the handling of personal information, cookies, analytics, information stored in the browser, and information transmitted to external services, please refer to the separate Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to Content and Suspension of Service
The Prefecture may change or remove content or functionality on the Site without prior notice. The Prefecture may also temporarily suspend all or part of the Site due to system maintenance, technical failures, network issues, or other circumstances.
